Every Lighthouse account has a membership level that determines what you can access. You start at the bottom and progress as you become part of the community. Promotions are handled by staff -- there's nothing you need to apply for.
| Level | How You Get It | What It Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Drifter | Create an account | Access to the Dashboard and community rules |
| Stowaway | Accept the community rules | Link your Discord account, view announcements |
| Traveler | Staff promotes you | Link your Minecraft account, join the Minecraft server, full community access |
| Resident | Staff promotes you | Additional in-game perks and community recognition. This is the main membership level for all users in the community |
| Citizen | Staff promotes you | Highest level, reserved for exceptional community members |
This is where everyone starts. As a Drifter, your only task is to read and accept the community rules on your Dashboard. Once you do, you'll be promoted to Stowaway instantly.
As a Stowaway, you can start setting up your account. You'll be able to link your Discord account and see community announcements. In Discord you will have access to the #foyer channel and can introduce yourself. Staff will review your account and promote you to Traveler when they're ready.
Traveler is your first full membership level. This is where things really open up -- you can link your Minecraft account, join the Minecraft server, and participate fully in the community. Your in-game rank syncs automatically with your membership level. You will also now have full access to the Discord community.
Residents are established members who've been active and shown they're a great fit for the community. You'll receive some additional perks, and your in-game rank and Discord roles are upgraded to match.
Citizen is the highest membership level. It's reserved for long-standing, trusted members who have gone above and beyond within the community.
You don't need to request a promotion. Staff regularly review the community and promote members when they're ready. The best way to move up is to be an active, positive part of the community.
When you're promoted, you'll receive an email letting you know. If you have Minecraft or Discord accounts linked, your ranks and roles update automatically.
