Creating Your First Land Claim

Creating Your First Land Claim

Once you find a place you want to build, the first step is to create your own Land.

This only takes a moment.

Step 1: Stand Where You Want Your Land

Go to the area where you want your base or build to be.
Your land claim will be created at your current location.

Step 2: Create Your Land

Use the following command: /lands create <name>

Example: /lands create myIsland

Choose a name you’ll recognize. Many players name their land after their base or settlement.

Step 3: Claim the Chunk

After creating your land, you can start claiming the chunks around you.

Open the land menu with: /lands menu

From there you can claim chunks and begin protecting the area around your base.

What Is a Chunk?

Minecraft divides the world into square areas called chunks.

Each chunk is 16 × 16 blocks wide.
When you claim land, you are claiming entire chunks.

This keeps the system simple and helps prevent confusing boundaries.

Tips

  • Start by claiming the chunk where your main base is located.
  • Claim extra chunks if you plan to expand.
  • Leave space between other players’ land unless you’ve agreed to build together.

In the next section, we’ll look at how to expand your land as your base grows.
