Once you find a place you want to build, the first step is to create your own Land.
This only takes a moment.
Go to the area where you want your base or build to be.
Your land claim will be created at your current location.
Use the following command: /lands create <name>
Example: /lands create myIsland
Choose a name you’ll recognize. Many players name their land after their base or settlement.
After creating your land, you can start claiming the chunks around you.
Open the land menu with: /lands menu
From there you can claim chunks and begin protecting the area around your base.
Minecraft divides the world into square areas called chunks.
Each chunk is 16 × 16 blocks wide.
When you claim land, you are claiming entire chunks.
This keeps the system simple and helps prevent confusing boundaries.
In the next section, we’ll look at how to expand your land as your base grows.
