Understanding the Community Rules

What Are the Community Rules?

The Community Rules are the expectations that every Lighthouse member agrees to follow. They cover things like how to treat others, what's appropriate to share, and how to conduct yourself both on the Minecraft server and in other community spaces.

The rules are organized into categories -- groups of related rules that make them easier to read and understand. Each rule has a short title and a clear description of what it means.

Where to Find Them

You can read the current rules anytime by visiting the Community Rules page while logged in. You don't need to agree again to read them -- the page is always available.

Versioned Rules

Lighthouse maintains versioned rules. When the rules are updated, a new version is published. Each version is a complete snapshot of the rules as they stood at that point in time.

When a new version is published, every member needs to review and agree to it. This ensures everyone is always working from the same set of current expectations -- not something that may have quietly changed without notice.

Agreeing Is Required

Agreeing to the current rules is required to access the community. New members agree as part of joining, and existing members are asked to re-agree whenever a new version is published. For details on how the agreement process works, see Agreeing to the Rules.
